Pumpkins & Ghosts Halloween Trifle Recipe

While searching for a creative, yet easy Halloween dessert, I came across Alli Doubek's fabulous Pumpkins & Ghosts Halloween Trifle.

This is such a clever way to use those awesome Peeps ghosts and pumpkins that show up each year in the grocery store for Halloween.

Alli takes it a step further though by using chocolate pudding and cake as the trifle filling.  Therefore, her awesome creation is easy, beautiful and delicious!

How to Make a Pumpkins & Ghosts Halloween Trifle  

In a little over 1 hour, you can make this fabulous Halloween trifle for your Halloween party, or just as your family Halloween dessert.  The store bought marshmallow Peeps shaped like ghost and pumpkins stand out beautifully with the dark background of chocolate pudding and cake.  There is just the right combination of spooky and cute to be the perfect treat for children, and adults, for Halloween.

Of course, you can choose a different filling for the trifle, but this simple trifle idea is fabulous regardless of the cake filler recipe you elect to use.

If you are searching for an easy Halloween cake that the kids can help make, you need look no further!

This Halloween Ghost Castle Cake is no bake and lots of fun to build and eat.  By supplying the children with a few "ingredients", you can let them build until their heart is content.

Several years ago, I sat down at the table with my son and we constructed the Halloween Ghost castle in the photo.  We had a lot of fun adding our own special little finishing touches, like topping the towers with candy pumpkins! 

Of course, we ate while we constructed the Ghost Castle cake, we also talked and laughed a lot together.  Once, our "Oreo" wall was knocked over, and we rolled with laughter because the Oreo cookies broke, which meant we got to eat them.  To this day, I wonder if that wall fell on purpose.  shhhhhh, don't tell anyone!  I do love Oreo cookies!

VAMPIRE HALLOWEEN CUPCAKES

Creative and Easy Vampire Cupcakes!

Halloween is such a fun time of the year and there are so many great ideas for Halloween fun food.  

I recently discovered a unique idea and recipe published by ChineseKitesforKids on Squidoo.  I simply had to share it with everyone!  I love these "blood" filled cupcakes which is achieved by swirling red tinted white cake mix into the dark cake mix before baking.  Oh, be sure to check out her alternate way to decorate the cupcake tops :)


This is truly an awesome idea!  It is so simple and sure to evoke the desired response from your family and guests.
